Sensory Character & Tasting Notes
Origin, Heritage & Craft Tradition
Rooted in Kilkenny, Ireland, where brewing dates back to St. Francis Abbey in the 14th century. Irish Red Ales are brewed to be smooth, sessionable pub ales. The signature ruby-red shimmer is achieved through an exact dusting (1.5-2.5%) of unmalted roasted barley, which also imparts a characteristic crisp, tea-like dry finish.
